Lou Paglia - Chief Executive Officer
Lou Paglia is Chief Executive Officer of KLDiscovery, a global leader in eDiscovery, compliance, and data management solutions. Mr. Paglia has more than two decades of experience in leading and scaling high growth companies across several industries. Prior to KLDiscovery, Mr. Paglia held executive leadership roles at Sterling Check, an industry-leading global provider of background screening and identity verification solutions. Most recently, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer. During his tenure, Sterling experienced transformative growth leading to an initial public offering in 2021 and its acquisition by First Advantage in 2024.
Prior to Sterling, Mr. Paglia held executive roles in product, operations and general management at various companies including MTV Networks (a division of Viacom), Infogroup, Factiva (a joint venture between Dow Jones and Reuters), as well several early-stage companies.
Mr. Paglia received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Computer Information Systems from James Madison University and a Masters of Business Administration degree from MIT's Sloan School of Management.
Barry Capoot - Chief Financial Officer
Barry Capoot is the Chief Financial Officer of KLDiscovery, having joined the company in August 2025. He is a seasoned financial executive with over 25 years of experience leading finance organizations across the software and technology-enabled services sectors. Barry brings deep expertise in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and scaling high-growth businesses.
Prior to joining KLDiscovery, Barry served as Chief Financial Officer at several organizations, most recently with Exabeam (formerly LogRhythm), a leading cybersecurity software company and a portfolio company of Thoma Bravo. Earlier in his career, he spent a decade in investment banking, specializing in M&A, which provided him with a strong foundation in strategic financial planning and deal execution.
Barry holds a BA from Northwestern University, an MS from DePaul University's Kellstadt Graduate School of Business, and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Krystina Jones - Chief Revenue Officer
Ms. Jones joined KLDiscovery in 2006 in a sales role, where she was responsible for generating new business from Am Law 100 law firms and Fortune 500 corporations. During her tenure with KLDiscovery, Ms. Jones has consistently created opportunities, developed new clients and increased the company’s client base by delivering tailored solutions and service excellence. She is a top producing sales representative in the organisation, focused on corporate accounts.
Today, Ms. Jones is Chief Revenue Officer where she is responsible for KLDiscovery's global sales organisation for the Legal Technologies and Data Recovery businesses. In this role, she is responsible for developing, implementing and executing a global sales and revenue strategies across the entire organisation. Additionally, Ms. Jones is responsible for KLDiscovery's global sales operations teams who support the business development managers in delivering best-in-class service to their clients. She continues to maintain, and grow, her existing book of business.
Ms. Jones has been in the industry at KLDiscovery for two decades and has held various leadership positions throughout the company's thirteen acquisitions and integrations.
Ms. Jones holds a dual degree in Marketing Management from Virginia Tech.
Oscar Vega - EVP, Global Sales & Marketing
Mr. Vega joined KLDiscovery in 2015 as a Business Development Manager, tasked with generating net new revenue and continuing to position KLDiscovery as the premier eDiscovery provider in the Midwest. In this capacity, Mr. Vega assisted corporate legal departments and law firms with overall management of their electronic discovery needs.
Today, Mr. Vega is Executive Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing where he is responsible for KLDiscovery’s global sales and marketing organisations for the Legal Technologies and Data Recovery businesses. In this role, he continues to assist corporate legal departments and law firms through the support, development and guidance of the sales and marketing organisations. Under Mr. Vega’s leadership the world-class global data recovery business, Ontrack performs an average of 50,000 data recoveries annually across a wide arrange of media types for Fortune 500 companies and individual consumers. His team is helping organisations to resolve their data loss, destruction and tape services’ needs to recover and retain critical data for their business.
In 1999, Mr. Vega joined Ikon as a financial accountant and quickly accepted the challenge of crossing over to business development & account management. After Ikon was acquired by Ricoh in 2008, Mr. Vega held various management positions for more than ten years, including General Manager of Sales & Operations for the Central region of the US.
Over the past two decades, Mr. Vega has supported and guided clients on the implementation of comprehensive discovery management programs and assisted with complex litigation management. He has developed discovery strategies focused on standardising processes for how matters are handled, maximising defensibility, reducing legal spend, managing difficult deadlines and providing extensive document review solutions for complex litigation and government investigations.
Robert Hunter - EVP, Global IT and eDiscovery Operations
Mr. Hunter joined KLDiscovery in 2008 as a forensic and eDiscovery analyst. During his earlier years of the company, Mr. Hunter was integral in the creation of the company’s first internal Information Technology group as well as process design and workflow standards for many others. He has performed countless forensic collections and has had hands-on experience conducting data analysis using a breadth of eDiscovery tools. He was quickly promoted to Manager and in 2011 became the company’s first Director of Operations & Forensics. Mr. Hunter has also played a vital role in the research, planning, testing, verification and maintenance of in-house developed software for the acquisition, culling, processing and reporting of various types of data. He has been overseeing the day-to-day operations ever since and continues to expand his responsibilities as the company has grown globally.
A 2006 graduate of Eastern Michigan University, Mr. Hunter earned a Bachelor of Science in Technology Management. In 2007 he had also attained a certificate in Information Assurance (CTIA) and an advanced certificate in Computer Forensics (CVCFC) through Washtenaw County Community College. During his time as an examiner, he was a member of numerous forensic societies and certification groups along with his currently held Private Investigator licenses.
As one of the earliest employees of KLDiscovery, Mr. Hunter has had the luxury of being a part of nearly every team in the company - experience that is invaluable as he leads a myriad of global operations teams today.

Daniel Balthaser - EVP, Engineering
Mr. Balthaser joined KLDiscovery in May of 2011 as a Software Developer. In that role, he was responsible for optimising and maintaining all the existing company software focused around processing, review and custom client demands as well as developing innovative solutions using advanced technologies. While working as a Team Lead, Manager, and then Director at KLDiscovery, he was tasked with the growth and development of the Engineering Department.
In 2019, Mr. Balthaser was promoted to Executive Vice President of Engineering. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing software development and software quality assurance for all applications produced by KLDiscovery. Mr. Balthaser holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Computer Forensics and received his Certified Ethical Hacker (“CEH”) certification in 2014.
Anthony J. DeJohn - EVP, Product, Design & Data Science
Mr. DeJohn joined KLDiscovery as a Director in 2011 to launch and oversee the Advanced Review Services (Managed Review) division. In that role, he was tasked with the management and business development of the division, while also providing project management and discovery consulting for KLDiscovery’s premier clients. In 2013, Mr. DeJohn formed the Analytics division, a technology-driven branch of KLDiscovery’s client services that delivers technology-assisted review (TAR) project management using an array software platforms and applications. In 2014, Mr. DeJohn took on the role of Vice President of Advanced Technologies & Managed Review Services, where he continued to focus on AI/ML implementations and other TAR solutions to maximise eDiscovery service delivery.
In his current role as Executive Vice President, Product, Design & Data Science, Mr. DeJohn currently oversees KLDiscovery’s product development, design, and machine learning applications, and is the lead product owner and program manager for Nebula® and the Nebula® Ecosystem. In this role, Mr. DeJohn is leading KLDiscovery to the cutting-edge with eDiscovery and IG solutions that solve enterprise problems at scale for customers across many different verticals.
Prior to joining KLDiscovery, Mr. DeJohn spent four years as a Director and VP at LawScribe, a Los Angeles-based LPO (acquired by UnitedLex) that provided eDiscovery and IP solutions for law firms and corporations worldwide. While at LawScribe, Mr. DeJohn was responsible for all project management, and played a major role in business development and company growth. Mr. DeJohn holds a J.D. from DePaul University in Chicago and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri. He is licensed to practice in both California and Washington D.C., and is a registered attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Andy Southam - General Counsel
Mr. Southam joined KLDiscovery in March 2017 as Head of Legal for EMEA and APAC and was promoted to General Counsel in September 2017. Mr. Southam is an English qualified lawyer and is based in London. As General Counsel, he is responsible for all legal aspects of the business including compliance, M&A and litigation.
Mr. Southam trained at the London office of DLA Piper, one of the world’s largest law firms, before qualifying into the Technology and Media Group in 2003. He spent four years advising clients on IP/IT legal issues before moving in-house in 2007 at the advertising group, Bartle Bogle Hegarty. He became Legal Director and a Partner at Bartle Bogle Hegarty prior to its sale to Publicis in June 2012. Mr. Southam joined the NetNames Group, a domain name and brand protection service company, in June 2013 following its acquisition by HG Capital. In his role as General Counsel, he oversaw two acquisitions and the subsequent sale of the business in July 2016 to Corporation Service Company, a Delaware based provider of business solutions.
Mr. Southam holds a Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice from the University of Bristol and undertook his Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School.
