Kroll Ontrack welcomes its 500th channel partner

Data recovery firm seeking more partners for its new programme to increase accessibility to expert data recovery

Kroll Ontrack, the leading provider of data recovery, information management, and data erasure products and services, today announced its new Ontrack Data Recovery Partner Programme has passed the 500 channel partner milestone. This figure has been reached following the launch of the revamped UK and Ireland programme in February.

Northdoor plc, a London based IT consultancy, is one of the 500 certified partners; Enterprise Architect Neil Taylor explained why: “The Ontrack Data Recovery Partner Programme is an attractive proposition for Northdoor. The partner certification process is brief and educational, and we were able to start offering data recovery and erasure services almost immediately.”

Certified partner status can be achieved through online training that can be completed in less than an hour. Once this has been done IT consultants and advisors are equipped to offer quality data recovery services to their clients. The partner logs the data recovery request with technicians at Kroll Ontrack, who dispatch a courier to collect the media and deliver it to their lab and clean rooms in Epsom, Surrey where a full assessment can be made.

Whether it is important company data stored on traditional systems, virtualised systems or in the cloud, or simply archives of family photos, movies and music, the amount of valuable data is increasing exponentially. “The new programme brings education in easily-consumed modules. It enables partners to differentiate themselves from their competitors by building their knowledge of data management and how to help in various scenarios,” continued Molyneux.

Certified partners are able to offer Ontrack Data Recovery services to their clients, and will have access to a range of materials including video tutorials, partner discounts and additional monthly promotions. The many thousands of existing Kroll Ontrack partners will continue to receive preferential treatment but the benefits improve for those certifying with the new programme.
