Kroll Ontrack embraces e-commerce for industry leading Ontrack Eraser 4.0 data wiping software

New subscription-based pricing model provides small to medium sized businesses with a cost-effective solution for data wiping

EPSOM  – May 7, 2013 – Kroll Ontrack, the leading provider of data recovery, information management  and e-disclosure and products and services, today announced a new subscription-based pricing model for its industry leading enterprise data eraser solution, Ontrack® Eraser 4.0. Starting at £99.95, the new pricing model offers customers a simple and flexible way to meet the specific data erasing needs of their business by purchasing the solution directly from the Kroll Ontrack online shop.

Security breaches have reached their highest ever levels in the UK, with 93% of large organisations and 87% of small businesses reporting a data breach during 2012, according to a report from the Department for Business Innovation & Skills.  With the new subscription offering from Kroll Ontrack, companies can effectively erase data and prevent security breaches without the standard pay-per-erasure practice. Under the new model, customers can purchase Ontrack Eraser 4.0 for an unlimited number of users and data erasures for a full year.

A 12-month subscription starts at £99.95 for companies with up to 50 employees, £169.95 for up to 250 employees and £289.95 for up to 500 employees.

• VMware Drive Wiping Capabilities: The ability to delete data from VMware machines, ensuring corporations are securely deleting data from their virtual environments and therefore addressing the complete scope of their IT environment.
• Enhanced System Performance: The enhanced capacity to perform over 200 concurrent device erasures to ensure the largest jobs are handled efficiently.
• Enhanced System Reporting: New reports that denote the hard drive make, serial number and model number, as well as the wipe algorithm applied to accomplish the job, providing organisations with the appropriate records for recycling centres and compliance requests.
• Security and Central Management Capabilities: New system authentication functionality to validate the erasure is conducted in the correct manner by the appropriate individual.
