Chris Weiler
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Weiler co-founded KLDiscovery in 2005. Since its inception, KLDiscovery has emerged as one of the top eDiscovery vendors in the United States. KLDiscovery has been recognised by Socha-Gelbmann, the Inc. 5000 and Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500™. Mr. Weiler also received Ernst & Young’s Washington, D.C. Entrepreneur Of The Year award in 2014.
Prior to co-founding KLDiscovery, Mr. Weiler co-founded and built On-Site Sourcing into a $40 million litigation support and electronic discovery services company, named in a survey of the American Lawyer top 100 law firms as one of the top five imaging and coding services companies and one of the ten best electronic discovery firms in the United States.
Mr. Weiler graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1985 and served in the United States Navy as a surface warfare officer and as a Navy Senate Liaison Officer in Washington, D.C. from 1985 until September 1991. He also worked for Pitney Bowes Management Services as a Manager from September 1991 through December 1992.
As a former 1st team Washington Post All Met Receiver, MVP of Navy’s 1984 football team and the father to three college athletes, Mr. Weiler has devoted the majority of his free time over the past fifteen years to coaching young men in youth basketball and high school football. Since 1997, Mr. Weiler has been the head or assistant coach to AAU, county and CYO basketball teams and two high school football teams in Northern Virginia.
Joining the Lake Braddock Secondary School Staff in 2004 as the offensive coordinator, Mr. Weiler helped engineer the greatest turnaround in Virginia, Maryland and DC history from 2004 to 2005, winning five district championships, two straight Northern Region titles and a trip to the Virginia state final in 2009. Mr. Weiler also personally donated $200k for the building of two FieldTurf Fields at the school.
Dawn M. Wilson
Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Wilson joined KLDiscovery as Chief Financial Officer in September 2017. As CFO she provides global leadership and oversight of all financial activities including executing a strategy of growth and profitability while building out a best-in-class, scalable finance function. Beginning in January 2019, Ms. Wilson is also overseeing the global HR team.
Ms. Wilson has over 20 years’ experience in finance and accounting primarily with public companies in the technology and services industry. Areas of expertise include mergers & acquisitions, leadership and talent development, information systems, financial planning, process re-engineering and cash management. Prior to KLDiscovery, she was with CoStar Group ("CSGP"), the leading provider of commercial real estate information, analytics and online marketplaces. During her tenure, the company grew from $100 million to over $800 million in revenues and from a loss to EBITDA of over $200 million. Growth included significant core growth as well as growth from acquisition, where Ms. Wilson was responsible for the integration of over 20 acquisitions. Prior to CoStar, Ms. Wilson was VP of Finance at Interstate Hotels and Resorts (“IHR”), CFO of Ciraden and a Manager with Arthur Andersen. She holds a Masters in Accounting from Virginia Tech.
Danny Zambito
EVP, Global Legal Technology
Mr. Zambito joined KLDiscovery in August of 2008 as Director of Project Management. In that role, Mr. Zambito was tasked with the growth and development of the project management group and providing consultative support to a variety of corporate and legal customers. Today, Mr. Zambito is Executive Vice President for KLDiscovery’s Legal Technology Operations and Client Services. In this role, he continues to provide consultative support to clients and is responsible for global operations across the Legal Technologies business line.
Prior to joining KLDiscovery, Mr. Zambito was with ONSITE3 from 2002 – 2008 where he filled several roles, most recently as the Director of Client Services. As Director of Client Services, he assumed overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the project management group. Mr. Zambito also provided horizontal support to project managers/production staff in addition to vertical support on several key engagements; including a national program for a federal law enforcement agency.
Over the past decade, Mr. Zambito has supported a broad variety of matters, including DOJ second requests, anti-trust, criminal, SEC, FTC, and private matters.
Robert Hunter
SVP, Global IT and eDiscovery Operations
Mr. Hunter joined KLDiscovery in 2008 as a forensic analyst. He was quickly promoted to Manager and in 2011 became the company’s first Director of Operations & Forensics. He has been overseeing the day-to-day operations ever since and continues to expand his responsibilities as the company has grown globally.
As one of the early employees of KLDiscovery, Mr. Hunter has had the luxury of being a part of nearly every team in the company, experience that is invaluable as he leads the global operations team today. He has performed countless forensic collections and has had hands-on experience conducting data analysis using a breadth of eDiscovery tools. Mr. Hunter has also played a vital role in the research, planning, testing, verification and maintenance of in-house developed software for the acquisition, culling, processing and reporting of various types of data.
A 2006 graduate of Eastern Michigan University, Mr. Hunter earned a Bachelor of Science in Technology Management. He has also attained a certificate in Information Assurance (CTIA) and an advanced certificate in Computer Forensics (CVCFC) through Washtenaw County Community College. He is a member of the International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners (ISFCE) and has obtained an EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE) certification.
Krystina Jones
EVP, Global LT Sales & Marketing
Ms. Jones joined KLDiscovery in 2006 in a sales role, where she was responsible for generating new business from Am Law 100 law firms and Fortune 500 corporations. During her tenure with KLDiscovery, Ms. Jones has consistently created opportunities, developed new clients and increased the company’s client base by delivering tailored solutions and service excellence. She is a top producing sales representative in the organisation, focused on corporate accounts.
Today, Ms. Jones is Executive Vice President, Global LT Sales & Marketing where she is responsible for KLDiscovery's global sales and marketing organisations for the Legal Technologies business. In this role, she is responsible for developing, implementing and executing a global sales & marketing strategy across the entire organisation. Additionally, Ms. Jones is responsible for KLDiscovery's global sales operations teams who support the business development managers in delivering best-in-class service to their clients. She continues to maintain, and grow, her existing book of business.
Ms. Jones has over a decade of experience in the industry at KLDiscovery, and has held a variety of leadership positions with the company throughout its nine acquisitions and integrations.
Ms. Jones holds a dual degree in Marketing Management from Virginia Tech.
Oscar Vega
SVP, Global LT Sales
Mr. Vega joined KLDiscovery in 2015 as a Business Development Manager, tasked with generating net new revenue and continuing to position KLDiscovery as the premier eDiscovery provider in the Midwest. In this capacity, Mr. Vega assisted corporate legal departments and law firms with overall management of their electronic discovery needs.
Today, Mr. Vega is Senior Vice President of Global LT Sales where he is responsible for KLDiscovery’s domestic and APAC region sales organisations for the Legal Technologies business. In this role, he continues to assist corporate legal departments and law firms through the support, development and guidance of the sales organisation.
In 1999, Mr. Vega joined Ikon as a financial accountant and quickly accepted the challenge of crossing over to business development & account management. After Ikon was acquired by Ricoh in 2008, Mr. Vega held various management positions for more than ten years, including General Manager of Sales & Operations for the Central region of the US.
Over the past two decades, Mr. Vega has supported and guided clients on the implementation of comprehensive discovery management programs and assisted with complex litigation management. He has developed discovery strategies focused on standardising processes for how matters are handled, maximising defensibility, reducing legal spend, managing difficult deadlines and providing extensive document review solutions for complex litigation and government investigations.
Greg Mazares
EVP & Global Director of Mergers & Acquisitions
Mr. Mazares joined KLDiscovery in September 2019 as Executive Vice President and Global Director of Mergers & Acquisitions. In this capacity he is charged with identifying and negotiating with outstanding legal services and technology companies which, through acquisition, can help KLDiscovery accelerate its rapid and profitable growth. He recently served as President of Sales, a member of the Board of Directors, and a major shareholder at Discovia, where he helped fuel the company’s dramatic growth and subsequent sale in May 2017. Prior to Discovia, he served as President & CEO of Encore Discovery Solutions, where he led the company’s turnaround and dramatic growth in revenue and profitability. Under his leadership, Encore became a national eDiscovery services leader and was sold in 2011 for $100 million.
Mr. Mazares has over 31 years of experience as a senior executive in the litigation support services industry in multiple sectors including electronic discovery, document review, deposition services, trial consulting, preparation of demonstrative evidence, courtroom presentation technology, document management, legal research, records retrieval, software development, and legal staffing. Earlier in his career he held marketing and general management positions at Carnation Company, Nestlé USA and First Interstate Bancorp. Mr. Mazares holds an undergraduate degree in economics from Harvard University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Daniel Balthaser
VP, Engineering
Mr. Balthaser joined KLDiscovery in May of 2011 as a Software Developer. In that role, he was responsible for optimising and maintaining all the existing company software focused around processing, review and custom client demands as well as developing innovative solutions using advanced technologies. While working as a Team Lead, Manager, and then Director at KLDiscovery, he was tasked with the growth and development of the Engineering Department.
In 2016, Mr. Balthaser was promoted to Vice President of Engineering. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing software development and software quality assurance for all applications produced by KLDiscovery. Mr. Balthaser holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Computer Forensics and received his Certified Ethical Hacker (“CEH”) certification in 2014.
Phil Bridge
President, Data & Storage Technologies
As President, Data & Storage Technologies, Mr. Bridge leads the Data & Storage Technologies (DST) organisation globally with offices and laboratories in 28 locations. He has been with Ontrack for over twenty years, moving from sales to global channel manager to business development manager to managing director for Western Europe, holding this latter position for some 7 years. This has led to Mr. Bridge having an extremely well rounded view of the company and an in-deKroll pth knowledge of the industry.
Mr. Bridge has insight into all areas of the DST business and can offer an expert opinion and insight into Ontrack as a business; its vision, values and corporate strategy, as well as advice on business continuity, information management and channel and partner strategies.
Mr Bridge is based out of the Epsom, UK operation.
Andy Southam
General Counsel
Mr. Southam joined KLDiscovery in March 2017 as Head of Legal for EMEA and APAC and was promoted to General Counsel in September 2017. Mr. Southam is an English qualified lawyer and is based in London. As General Counsel, he is responsible for all legal aspects of the business including compliance, M&A and litigation.
Mr. Southam trained at the London office of DLA Piper, one of the world’s largest law firms, before qualifying into the Technology and Media Group in 2003. He spent four years advising clients on IP/IT legal issues before moving in-house in 2007 at the advertising group, Bartle Bogle Hegarty. He became Legal Director and a Partner at Bartle Bogle Hegarty prior to its sale to Publicis in June 2012. Mr. Southam joined the NetNames Group, a domain name and brand protection service company, in June 2013 following its acquisition by HG Capital. In his role as General Counsel, he oversaw two acquisitions and the subsequent sale of the business in July 2016 to Corporation Service Company, a Delaware based provider of business solutions.
Mr. Southam holds a Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice from the University of Bristol and undertook his Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School.
Anthony J. DeJohn
VP, Advanced Technologies & Document Review
Mr. DeJohn joined KLDiscovery as a Director in 2011 to launch and oversee the Advanced Review Services (Managed Review) division. In that role, he was tasked with the management and business development of the division, while also providing project management and discovery consulting for KLDiscovery’s premier clients. In 2013, Mr. DeJohn formed the Analytics division, a technology-driven branch of KLDiscovery’s renowned client services. In 2014, Mr. DeJohn took on the role of Vice President of Advanced Technologies & Managed Review Services. Mr. DeJohn now focuses on the development and design of advanced software and methodologies for eDiscovery and Information Governance, as well as managing KLDiscovery’s team of eDiscovery Technologists, who are widely regarded as the best TAR experts in the industry. In this role, Mr. DeJohn is leading KLDiscovery to the cutting-edge of machine learning/AI and cloud-based technologies while directing the continued advancement of KLDiscovery’s client-facing applications. Mr. DeJohn also continues to oversee global Managed Review operations for KLDiscovery’s Advanced Review Services division, comprising over ten state-of-the-art facilities worldwide.
Prior to joining KLDiscovery, Mr. DeJohn spent four years as a Director and VP at LawScribe, a Los Angeles-based LPO (acquired by UnitedLex) that provided eDiscovery and IP solutions for law firms and corporations worldwide. While at LawScribe, Mr. DeJohn was responsible for all project management, and played a major role in business development and company growth.
Mr. DeJohn holds a J.D. from DePaul University in Chicago and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri. He is licensed to practice in both California and Washington D.C., and is a registered attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. DeJohn received his Relativity Certified Administrator (“RCA”) certification from kCura in 2012, his Relativity Analytics certifications in 2013, and his Relativity Expert status in 2014. Mr. DeJohn is also a certified Equivio Technical STAR.
Ferdinand Cami
VP, Hosting Services
Mr. Cami joined KLDiscovery as a Senior eDiscovery Consultant in 2006. At the time he was tasked with the daily intake of processing, productions and client services. That same year, KLDiscovery added Relativity to its list of offered services and Mr. Cami’s role was expanded to include Hosted Services, where he became heavily involved in Relativity, working closely with kCura. In 2011, Mr. Cami was promoted to Director of Hosted Services and oversaw the day-to-day hosting operations of the team based out of Chicago. Three years later he was promoted to Vice President where his responsibilities were expanded to include all KLDiscovery locations. Prior to KLDiscovery, Mr. Cami was with On-Site Sourcing for four years where he split his role as the local Chicago System Administrator and as the Senior Data Analyst.
Mr. Cami develops review workflows; creates, maintains, and preserves document review databases; and has extensive knowledge of kCura’s Relativity database schema, Concordance, iConectNXT/Xera, Equivio Zoom and a variety of other areas.
Mr. Cami holds a B.S. in Information Assurance and Security Engineering with a Minor in Computer Science from DePaul University. He received his Relativity Certified Master certification in 2015. Trained as a digital forensic analyst as well as a database administrator, Mr. Cami received his AccessData Certified (“ACE”) certification in 2008, SQL Advanced Certificate in 2009 from DePaul and his EnCase Certified Examiner (“EnCE”) certification in 2010.
Meghan Del Monaco
VP, Global LT Client Services
Meghan Del Monaco joined KLDiscovery in October of 2009 as an Associate Project Manager. In that role, Mrs. Del Monaco worked in a supporting capacity for the LDiscovery project management team and LDiscovery client base, by facilitating in every day case tracking, data processing and database management, as well as invoicing. In 2014, Mrs. Del Monaco was working as a Senior Project Manager, and in 2015 was promoted to a Project Director. In 2016 Mrs. Del Monaco was promoted to a US Director of Client Services.
Today, Mrs. Del Monaco is the VP of Global LT Client Services. In this role, she oversees project management and the overall growth and development of the global PM team, as well as company work product and customer service delivery. Mrs. Del Monaco is dedicated to supporting her team in order to deliver the best possible work product and service to KLDiscovery’s client base.
Mrs. Del Monaco holds a B.S. degree in Sociology from Radford University.
Helmut Sauro
Regional Director, Central & Eastern Europe
Mr. Sauro is the Regional Director, Central & Eastern Europe leading the Business Development Team in this region. Mr. Sauro joined KLDiscovery in 2012 as a Business Development Manager and has consistently been a top producer for Sales in EMEA.
Mr. Sauro’s team advises lawyers and their clients on how to effectively manage and review electronically-stored information in litigation, arbitration, and internal or regulatory investigations to achieve their goals, within set time frames and to budget, by evaluating the best available technologies and ensuring the right solution is found for each potential matter.
Following management positions in sales and customer relationship management, Mr. Sauro has been working in the legal tech industry since 2003. Prior to joining KLDiscovery, he worked for a global provider of legal tech solutions for due diligence, risk management and business intelligence.
Peter Böhret
COO, Data & Storage Technologies
As COO, Data & Storage Technologies business line, Mr. Böhret is responsible for the data recovery business of Ontrack in Europe with laboratories and sales offices in 12 countries. In this position, he is the front man of the European Senior Leadership Group of KLDiscovery for the data recovery business (Ontrack).
He joined the company in 1996 when the German operation was founded and built it up to an operation with more than 75 employees serving customer needs 24/7/365. Under his leadership, Ontrack expanded into Italy, Switzerland, Poland and into the Nordics and became the leader in EMEA.
Previous to Ontrack, Mr. Böhret worked as European Sales Manager for Hengstler GmbH and as project manager at Stark Systemstechnik. He studied computer science in Munich and business administration with a focus on marketing and computers in Stuttgart.
Besides his engagements in management, he made his mark with numerous publications in the sector of IT security and software, e.g. as the co-author of the book “The man in the software development.”
Andy Maus
VP Global Sales, Data & Storage Technologies
Mr. Maus is responsible for sales of Ontrack’s data recovery services and software globally. He joined Ontrack in 2013 with responsibility for the Enterprise Software Business Development team, and led the efforts in closing the largest, multiyear OEM contract in company history. He then consolidated the North American Business Development teams for the Data & Storage Technologies division, and is now leading the transformation to a centralised sales organisation across 17 offices to one global team.
Mr. Maus has over 25 years’ IT industry experience in Sales, Marketing & Product Management, with a particular focus on building new revenue streams through the channel. Prior to Ontrack Mr. Maus worked for Dell, Mitel, Level 3 Communications and Enron. While at Enron he lived in London, opening the European Operations for their Broadband Services unit.
Mr. Maus graduated with honors from Westminster College where he studied Business and Communications, was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon, and helped found their Rugby Club. He's been married for over 20 years, is a father of 3 teenagers, and enjoys travel, golf, and family time.
Mike Burmeister
VP Global Operations, Data & Storage Technologies
Mr. Burmeister joined Ontrack in 1991 as one of the initial data recovery engineers. He has over 20 years of experience in the data recovery profession, moving from engineering to senior leadership roles while focused on building a best-in-class worldwide data recovery operation. He was essential in researching file systems and defining practices aimed at resolving data loss on all types of storage media and storage environments. Whether a Fortune 500 company or family pictures of the first birthday, Mr. Burmeister leads and works daily with the global team - saving irreplaceable data and always providing an excellent customer service experience.
Currently, Mr. Burmeister is responsible for 15 data recovery labs across the globe and building the world leading Data Recovery Operations Team for the Data & Storage Technologies business line. The team operates globally on a 24/7/365 basis, ready to respond to emergency customer situations at all times and offering on-site, in-lab, and remote services to address the most secure and discrete scenarios. The operations recovery team proudly focuses on its mission of continuous improvement and optimising efficiencies to the advantage of its world-wide customer base.
Mr. Burmeister holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Minor degree in Mathematics.
Gabriela P. Baron, Esq.
Executive Vice President, Strategy
Ms. Baron joined KLDiscovery as Executive Vice President, Strategy, in February 2018. In this role, Ms. Baron identifies and pursues strategic growth opportunities as well as opportunities to meet evolving market needs that will enable the company to execute on its growth plan. She is particularly focused on developing relationships with global corporations and law firms.
Ms. Baron began her legal career as a litigator at a major New York law firm, where she worked on a wide variety of complex commercial cases for nearly nine years, specialising in securities litigation, IP matters involving medical devices and insurance litigation. She also served as counsel to the firm on internal employment matters.
In 2004, Ms. Baron joined litigation technology provider Amici LLC as its Deputy General Counsel and quickly took on additional roles in business development and account management. After Amici was acquired by Xerox in 2006, Ms. Baron held executive positions with Xerox Litigation Services for more than 10 years, and, after the Xerox eDiscovery business became part of Conduent, with Conduent Legal and Compliance Solutions from January to August 2017.
Ms. Baron has assisted clients with regulatory investigations (IRS, SEC, DOJ, FINRA, EDNY, and others, as well as international regulatory entities in the UK, EU, Hong Kong, Australia and Singapore), major class actions, employment matters, Hart-Scott-Rodino second requests, and commercial cases in federal and state courts. She has extensive experience working with financial institutions, manufacturers and technology services companies, and on matters involving cross-border eDiscovery.
Ms. Baron is a frequent speaker at industry events on eDiscovery-related topics and has authored numerous articles on eDiscovery and technology assisted review. She is a graduate of Vassar College and New York University School of Law. She lives in New York City.
Adrian Briscoe
VP APJ, Data & Storage Technologies
Adrian Briscoe joined Ontrack in 2003 as an Electronic Evidence Consultant in the London (U.K) office. In 2005, he moved to Australia to set up DST operations in Brisbane before overseeing expansion in Singapore in 2006, Hong Kong in 2008 and most recently in Japan in 2017.
Before joining with Ontrack, Adrian spent five years in Hong Kong with PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Corporate Finance & Recovery (CFR) division. He managed the IT infrastructure, data capture requirements and computer forensics needs for the CFR division and PricewaterhouseCoopers clients.
Adrian has more than 33 years experience in the IT industry, initially starting out as a protocol specialist in London, working with IBM mainframe, mini and desktop systems.
